Diseases and viruses transportation
While the Bushmeat Crisis is already one of the biggest concerns in Africa, it also comes with disturbingly dangerous side effects. The side effects we are talking about are global transportation of people, wildlife, and livestock. Also, combined with increasing opportunities for cross species disease transmission has already resulted in the global emergence of diseases such as SARS, monkeypox, HIV/AIDS, and recently and most centered topic: Ebola.
Bushmeat trades in Africa, Asia, and other parts of the world have increased the number of hunters and traders as well as both meat and live animal markets. This would mean the people who consume these will increase and the rate of disease and virus transportation to the people will also increases.
